Security Technician

Axis Systems Group has been delivering high-end security solutions in Vancouver and across BC for over 14 years. We are currently seeking two Large scale systems programmers for a one year full time contract to join our team. This role involves working to program over 8000 systems devices for a Nurse Call System in Vancouver BC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Direct customer interactions with a focus on customer satisfaction

· Installs, maintains, and repairs security systems such as intrusion alarms, ULC fire monitoring, camera systems, intercoms/enterphones, access control systems and IP networks.

· Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment failures.

· Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision

· Completes work orders with detailed reports

· Interpret plans and design documents to complete tasks

· Willing to work after hours and be on call

Security Technician is required to:

· Obtain and maintain a valid Driver’s Licence and a clean driving record (MUST)

· Obtain and maintain a BC Security Licence (MUST)

· Bondable (clear RCMP background check will be required)

· Good organizational and communication skills

· Work on ladders, in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces and lift up to 50lbs of equipment

· Previous experience in intrusion alarms, access control and cameras is an definite asset

· Knowledge in DSC, Honeywell, Bosch, Avigilon, Keyscan and RBH an asset

Wages depend on experience and are industry standard between $26 and $34/hr. Eligibility to enroll in Group Benefits and our RRSP program are also available as well as other perks. This is a full time position with our office based in Burnaby but will require you to work in all of Metro Vancouver with occasional travel using a provided company vehicle.

Experience:

· Security Technician: 2-5 years (Preferred)

· Strong network IT and Computers skills an asset.
