Monitoring Station Lead Hand
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Monitoring Station Lead Hand to oversee operations within our Remote Monitoring Station. This leadership role combines exceptional customer service, real-time security monitoring, and technical oversight to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our facilities and parking systems.
The Lead Hand is responsible for actively monitoring internal security camera feeds, alarm systems, and parking access/payment systems while leading agents to ensure all non-conforming events are properly observed, documented, and actioned in accordance with company protocols.
Position Overview
The Monitoring Station Lead Hand provides day-to-day leadership to monitoring agents and ensures continuous surveillance of company facilities. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound decision-making under pressure, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments, onsite personnel, and emergency services when necessary.
Customer service is paramount in this environment. The Lead Hand ensures timely intervention to resolve parking access or payment issues, respond to security breaches, and manage emergencies in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monitoring agents in the execution of their responsibilities
- Ensure continuous monitoring of internal security camera feeds across company facilities
- Observe, identify, and respond to unusual, unauthorized, or non-conforming activity
- Respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, and incidents following company protocols
- Notify onsite personnel, management, or emergency services as required
- Ensure accurate and detailed logging of all incidents, observations, and actions taken
- Oversee agent performance to ensure procedures are followed and properly documented
- Provide recorded footage, documentation, or reports to assist with investigations
- Intervene in real time to resolve parking access and payment issues for customers
- Operate and troubleshoot monitoring systems, CCTV systems, pay machines, alarm systems, and communication equipment
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding privacy, data handling, and access control
- Assist with scheduling coverage and provide hands-on operational support when required
- Participate in and support ongoing training related to security procedures, emergency response, and monitoring technology
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education in security, criminal justice, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in security monitoring, CCTV operations, law enforcement, or a similar environment considered an asset
- Prior leadership or Lead Hand experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working with monitoring software, CCTV systems, alarm systems, and automated pay machines
- Professional, reliable, and highly organized

Pay: $44,000.00 per year
