Security Guard – Construction (Floater)

We are seeking highly motivated security personnel for positions within a physical security environment specializing in the protection of a Construction site for a Data Centre.

Position Overview:

Wages: $18.00/hr+ (depending on site)

Status: On Call

Shift timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Operate gates at gatehouse locations, screening all visitors.
• 
  Perform foot patrols inside and outside in all weather conditions.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 1 year of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• 
  G or G2 class drivers’ license with your own vehicle is required to travel to sites.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
