Position Details:
Position: Security Guard
Site: Seneca Polytechnic – York campus
Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Continental Rotation – 0700-1900/1900-0700
Pay Rate: $ 20.00 – $21.50/ an hour

Key Responsibilities

Conduct proactive foot and vehicle patrols throughout Seneca York extensive facilities, research and design buildings, YorkU academic, and student spaces

Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies with confidence and care

Provide excellent customer service and information to students, visitors, and faculty
-
Monitor access, enforce campus policies, and assist during events

Supporting students and event safety in a multi-institutional environment

Prepare thorough incident reports and assist with investigations
-
Engage with Toronto Police, Fire, EMS, and campus partners as needed
Qualifications

Ontario Security Guard License
-
First Aid/CPR Level C from a WSIB approved
-
Minimum 1 year of security experience is required
-
Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude

Experience with multi-site environments an asset
-
Prior post-secondary or healthcare security experience an asset

Bilingual/multilingual preferred

Must not be a current Seneca student at Seneca@York

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin’s UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training

Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
