Overtime: Employment Standards Act

Hours: Monday to Friday (0800-1600)

Payrate: | $18.40/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Colliers and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach
• Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
• Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly.
• Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public
• Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
• Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
• Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• 3 Years of experience in security is an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin’s Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
