Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be attentive, proactive, and capable of handling various security responsibilities to maintain a secure environment. This role involves monitoring activities, enforcing safety protocols, and responding promptly to incidents to protect company assets and personnel.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security issues
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including assisting law enforcement when necessary
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes
• Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes as needed
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious activity or theft attempts
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining security protocols

Skills

• Prior experience or background in law enforcement is highly desirable
• Strong surveillance skills with knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring techniques
• Ability to identify potential security threats through observation and proactive intervention
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Attention to detail in maintaining logs and monitoring surveillance footage
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when necessary
