Licensed Event Security Guard – Medium to Large Scale Events

Job Description.

Kewley Security is seeking Licensed Security Guards for medium to large-scale events ranging from 5,000 to 55,000 attendees per event.

This position focuses on regulatory compliance, alcohol enforcement, and professional crowd management at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and major public gatherings. Security Guards will be responsible for enforcing the Liquor Licence and Control Act (LLCA), working alongside AGCO inspectors, and supporting client safety protocols.

This is a high-visibility role requiring professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in high-attendance environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce the Liquor Licence and Control Act (LLCA) and venue alcohol policies

• Verify identification and monitor access control points

• Identify signs of intoxication and take appropriate enforcement action

• Work cooperatively with AGCO inspectors and event stakeholders

• Provide crowd management and ensure safe ingress/egress

• Respond to incidents and emergencies

• Complete detailed incident reports

• Deliver professional customer service while maintaining authority

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License

• Valid Smart Serve Certification

• Minimum 18 years of age

• Legally eligible to work in Canada

• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts

• Ability to work in large crowds (5,000–55,000 attendees)

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Professional appearance and conduct
