Tactical Security Guard – Apartment Building

Security company requires part-time security guard for apartment located in Toronto.

We are seeking a candidate who can commit to both shifts. Other candidates will not be considered. There is opportunity to receive additional hours on other sites up to 36 hours/week.

This is a contract position with potential to extend should the client extend the contract.

Hours:

• 0700h – 1900h, Saturday and Sunday (24hours/week)
• 1900h – 0700h, Saturday and Sunday (24 hours/week)

Job Requirements:

• Ontario Security Guard License
• Standard First Aid CPR-C
• Experience at an apartment and enforcing site protocol

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience
• Reliable transportation – the site is located right next to Broadview station so please ensure you can commit to taking transit as there is no on site parking provided
• Must be professional and presentable
• Have excellent communications, customer service and report writing skills

Security guards will be expected to:

• Conduct complete interior and exterior patrols hourly
• Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act"
• Write and submit reports in a timely manner
• Ensure all inquiries and incidents from residents are responded to in a timely manner, and followup occurs within 2 days of the original incident
• De-escalate potential situations
• Communicate with their team
• Be flexible with work assignments

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.60-$18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week

Experience:

• security: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Ontario Security Guard License (required)
• Standards First Aid CPR – C + AED certificate (required)
