Security Guard – Casual/On call

Security company requires casual security guards for a various hotel, condo, retail, and apartment locations in Toronto, Markham, and surrounding areas.

Casual postings have the opportunity to grow into a permanent position as they come available as we pull from our casual pool as priority when new positions become available.

Casual opportunities:

• Part time, casual, up to 44 hours a week (not guaranteed) at hotels, condos, retails locations, and apartments

Job Requirements:

• Ontario Security Guard License
• Standard First Aid CPR-C + AED
• Open to feedback and willing to implement it

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in security and customer service
• Must be professional and presentable
• Have excellent communication, customer service, and report writing skills

Duties:

• Unafraid to ensure all who enter the property have business there
• Provide access control and screen individuals entering the site
• Enforce mask policies
• Conduct hourly exterior and interior patrols
• Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act"
• Write and submit reports in a timely manner
• Respond to calls from Manager on Duty and guests in a timely manner, with follow up occurring where necessary on the next shift
• Work with site staff
• Liaise with Toronto Police and other emergency services
• De-escalate potential situations
• Communicate with their team
• Be flexible with work assignments

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 44.0 per week

Licence/Certification:

• Ontario Security Guard License (required)
• Standard First Aid CPR – C + AED (required)
