Security Guard- University Site

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of the university property, staff, students, and visitors
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents as required
• Conduct regular patrols and remain alert to suspicious activity
• Handle vagrants, intoxicated individuals, and unauthorized persons professionally
• De-escalate conflicts using strong verbal communication skills
• Complete detailed incident and occurrence reports
• Provide excellent customer service and assist site occupants as needed
• Follow all site-specific procedures, post orders, and company policies
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a security team

Qualifications & Skills

• 
  2–3 years of security experience required
• 
  Police Foundations diploma required
• 
  Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
• 
  Valid First Aid & CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year of CCTV monitoring experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• High level of professionalism, ethics, and discipline
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills

Shift Details:

Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Wage: $19.00 per hour
