Overview
The CCTV Monitoring Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the premises. This position is responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, identifying potential security threats, and supporting incident response. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to identify suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular reviews of live and recorded footage to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
- Report incidents promptly and collaborate with supervisors, law enforcement, and on‑site personnel when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of surveillance activities, incidents, and daily reports.
- Assist with loss prevention by identifying patterns of theft, policy violations, or misconduct.
- Communicate effectively with team members, dispatchers, and response personnel during emergencies or security events.
- Utilize conflict‑management and de‑escalation techniques when addressing potential threats or disturbances.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or monitoring roles is an asset.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance tools, and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and coordination.
- Ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports.

Requirements
