Executek International specializes in recruitment and training division by hiring and developing security professionals to excel in multiple positions.

We are looking for a responsible Event Personnel for VIP Events to service our major clients.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manning entrance and exit points at the venue
  • Welcome, inform, direct and escort various users and visitors during events and provide excellent customer service
  • Carry out access control (right to admissions)
  • Provide assistance in the event of an emergency, first aid or any other intervention
  • Perform crowd surveillance and crowd control when necessary
  • Carry out strategic interventions in the event of a crisis
  • Diffusing a volatile situation when it arises. i.e. breaching stage, fighting,
  • Patrolling the venue to identify hazards, trespassers and suspicious activity
  • Responding to reports of drug use, violence, or other problems
  • Identifying and removing trespassers (people without tickets)
  • Guarding the stage and performers during the performance
  • Escorting the performer as necessary
  • As a First responder, Performing CPR and/or first aid in a medical emergency
  • Directing attendees on what to do and where to go in an emergency – i.e. evacuation or fire
  • Helping any people who need assistance
  • Exceeding clients expectations
  • Adapting to client’s needs, notifying supervisor of changes
  • Health and safety awareness and compliance around rigging, stage equipment, hard hat etc.
  • Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
  • Keep a check on any guest who appears to be under alcoholic influence or intoxicated inside the venue
  • Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
  • Safeguard against theft and property damage
  • Communicate clearly with the team and remain in constant contact throughout the duration of your shift

Qualifications:

  • Valid Security License
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Valid Smart Serve
  • Post Secondary Education in Law Enforcement
  • Ability to work late hours
  • Flexible schedule (including Weekend)
  • 2-4 years of work experience in security and customer service
  • Must be physically proficient (able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques) Position requires constant walking/standing for longer hours
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Acute sense of judgement, tact, and diplomacy
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to follow directions

Must also possess the following:

  • Ability to effectively perform job duties with minimum supervision
  • Ability to appropriately assess situations based on, available information and past experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, community agencies and the public
  • Ability to de-escalate interpersonal conflicts in an effective fashion through crisis intervention techniques
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Ability to work; days, afternoons, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must own a suit (Black suit preferable)

Job Types: Casual, Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Licence/Certification:

  • Security Guard Licence (required)
