Full Time Security Patrol – Scarborough General Hospital

Paladin Security is Hiring a Day Patrol Security Patrol!:
Location: 3050 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, ON

Pay Rate: $18.73/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shifts

Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Overview:

As part of the hospital’s security team, you will help ensure a safe, professional, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols throughout hospital premises, including hallways, entrances, waiting areas, and parking lots
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems; promptly report unsafe or suspicious activity
• Control access to restricted hospital zones and verify authorization for staff and visitors
• Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or security threats
• De-escalate emotional, tense, or high-stress situations with calm professionalism
• Assist hospital staff during evacuations, patient transport, or crisis events
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement, paramedics, and emergency responders
• Follow all hospital safety standards, procedures, and Paladin Security protocols
• Maintain a respectful, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone in the facility

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB approved)
• Two doses of COVID-19 vaccination
• Proof of up-to-date immunization records (MMR, Varicella, and 2-step TB test)
• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
• Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training
• Ability to provide UoF and MOAB certifications (If not currently held, training is available before onboarding)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
