Tactical Security Guard (Fulltime & Floaters) – Toronto Public Libraries

Cancom Security is actively seeking qualified Tactical Security Guard – Full time & Floaters to join our esteemed team to work for Toronto Public Library. Requirements:

· Flexibility required for variable working hours, including weekends.

· Should be able to work Full time hours.

· Valid Ontario Security License.

· Up-to-date CPR and First Aid Certificate.

· Minimum 1 year of security experience.

· Must successfully complete Use of Force training.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the Trespassing Act.

· Strong understanding of powers of arrest.

· Expertise in foot patrol.

· Exceptional report writing skills.

· Emphasis on professionalism and adherence to high ethical standards.

· Outstanding communication skills.

· Ability to stand for long periods and be available for last-minute client requests.

· Basic computer (keyboarding) skills.

Summary of Duties:

· Conduct thorough foot patrols for varying durations.

· Provide security presence and deterrence at different locations as needed.

· Work across multiple Toronto Public Library branches throughout the GTA.

· Draft accurate and detailed daily reports.

Work Location: In-person/Multiple Toronto Public Library branches across Downton & North York Area.

Compensation & Hours:

· Pay: $17.25 per hour

· Expected hours: 40-48 Hours per week
