Site Security Guard

Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Site Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role involves monitoring access points, overseeing surveillance systems, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and experience in security operations. Prior law enforcement or loss prevention experience is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding our facilities while working in a professional environment.

PAY RATE: $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr ( Depends on certificates/experience/events )

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the site by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
• Operate and oversee surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity around the clock
• Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Enforce company policies related to loss prevention and safety protocols
• Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns
• Assist in implementing security procedures and protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or issues

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is highly desirable
• Familiarity with surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and monitoring techniques
• Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations
• Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activity quickly
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Previous experience in surveillance or CCTV monitoring is a plus

Requirement

• Fluent in English ( Required )
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (Required )
• First Aid certificate ( Required )
• Security Guard Experience ( Preferred )
