Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or vandalism, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. This role requires a professional with strong observational skills and a commitment to safety protocols.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all areas of the property
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches
• Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes
• Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries in a courteous manner
• Conduct loss prevention activities by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or damage

Skills

• Prior experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred
• Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring systems
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and procedures
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly
• Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or stressful situations
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when needed
