Job description

Sentry Security Group is hiring highly motivated and disciplined Security Guards for demanding patrol-based assignments. This is not a static or idle position — the role requires continuous movement, strict patrol compliance, and full-site responsibility.

Guards will be assigned to condominium patrols and inspections, requiring thorough checks of entire buildings, including stairwells, parking areas, and common spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct strict and scheduled patrols throughout the night
• Perform full building inspections (interior and exterior)
• Monitor and secure:
• Stairwells
• Parking garages and lots
• Entry/exit points
• Common areas
• Complete detailed patrol reports and incident reports
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies professionally
• Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed at all times

Job Requirements:

• 24/7 availability is mandatory
• Must have own reliable vehicle
• Must be physically fit and capable of extended foot patrols
• Ability to handle high workload and strict patrol expectations
• Strong observation and reporting skills
• Must be reliable, punctual, and disciplined

Experience Requirements:

• Only candidates with Ottawa-based security industry experience will be considered
• Previous experience in:
• Condo security
• Mobile patrol
• High-responsibility sites
• is strongly preferred

Pay: $17.60 per hour
