Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or vandalism, and maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a professional with strong observational skills and a commitment to enforcing security protocols.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and respond to suspicious behavior
• Enforce loss prevention policies by identifying and addressing theft or vandalism
• Maintain detailed logs of security incidents, patrols, and observations
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement if necessary
• Control access points by verifying credentials of visitors and staff
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations or medical emergencies, following established procedures
• Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious activity quickly
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond swiftly when needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are a plus

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
