Iron Horse Security is a “people first” company. Through our team of highly trained professionals, we deliver the highest calibre of customer-focused security services. We are currently looking for security guards to join our team at a client site in Barrhaven/Nepean.

***Please note: This site is under construction. CSA-approved steel toe footwear is required for all shifts.

***Important – Reliability Status***

Applicants must hold or be able to quickly obtain a valid Reliability Status (or higher security clearance) to be considered. Reliability Status is a federal background screening that goes beyond a standard criminal record or vulnerable sector check. It evaluates trustworthiness through employment history, personal references, and other background information.
To be eligible, applicants generally must have lived in Canada for at least 5 years. We will duplicate or transfer your current status to ensure you are authorized to work on secured or sensitive sites.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid/CPR+AED Certificate
• Valid Reliability Status (or higher clearance )
• English fluency
• CSA-approved steel toe footwear (must have or obtain before starting)
• Reliable transportation to/from site at applicable shift times
• Valid SIN within 3 days of hire (+ work/study permit, if applicable)
• Comfortable working alone or as part of a team
• Comfortable with technology and learning new applications

Assets:

• Speaks French or other languages
• Working at Heights Certificate
• WHMIS Certificate
• Experience working within a construction environment or knowledge of the rules and regulations imposed within construction environments

Duties

• Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols of the property
• Write detailed reports and notes
• Escort contractors and manage access control
• Respond to incidents and emergencies
• Provide first aid as required
• Other duties as assigned

Wage

• $18.00/hour (site-specific rate)
