Security Guard – CSIS (Top Secret Clearance Required) | Night Shift | Ottawa | Securitas

Securitas is currently recruiting vigilant, reliable, and highly professional Security Guards to protect high-security private sites. This role requires discretion, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and monitor site access
• Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols
• Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized intrusions
• Enforce client policies and procedures
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
• Maintain a safe and secure environment at all times

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements

• Availability for 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Must have resided in Canada continuously for the past 10 years
• Fully bilingual in French and English
• Ability to travel to and work in Ottawa
• Willingness to undergo an extensive and highly personal government security screening process
• Valid BSP and/or Ontario Security Guard License

Security Clearance – Mandatory

Candidates must qualify for an Enhanced Top Secret Government Security Clearance.

This rigorous process includes:

• Full disclosure of personal history over the past 10 years (residency, employment, education, travel)
• Personal security interview
• Reference and background interviews (neighbors, colleagues, personal contacts)
• Criminal background check (including fingerprints)
• Polygraph examination
• Psychological evaluation
• Comprehensive credit check and financial disclosure

Any omission or false declaration will result in immediate disqualification.

Qualifications

• Mature, reliable, and professional demeanor
• Flexible availability based on operational needs
• Ability to perform patrols indoors and outdoors, day or night
• Strong customer service skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to follow directives
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, email, access control systems)

Assets:

• Education in Law and Security, Corrections, Security Management, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
