Security Guard/loss prevention

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role involves monitoring facilities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, integrity, and a commitment to safety protocols. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is a plus, but we welcome candidates eager to develop their skills in surveillance and loss prevention.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and ensure safety compliance
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including alarms or disturbances
• Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety
• Assist visitors and staff with inquiries while maintaining a professional presence
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Conduct loss prevention activities by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism

Skills

• Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and procedures
• Experience with surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and monitoring techniques
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques to minimize theft or damage
• Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
