Security guards

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant Security Guards for calgary main event to ensure the safety and security of premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role offers an opportunity to work in a high paced environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential. Prior experience security-related fields is a plus, along with familiarity loss prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility through check-in procedures .
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address potential security issues.
• Utilization of Metal detactors (walk through and hand held ) , bag searches and pat down to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Respond to disturbances, or emergencies to protect personnel and
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Enforce security policies and procedures consistently across all areas of the site.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activity and preventing theft or vandalism.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve incidents effectively.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred.
• Loss prevention wil be asset .
• Knowledge of operation and monitoring techniques.
• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
• Physical ability to patrol large areas as needed.
• Must be able to pass any required background checks or screening processes related to security roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are advantageous. This position is integral in maintaining a safe environment, requiring vigilance, integrity, and a proactive approach to security management.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 11 days

Pay: From $15.03 per hour
