Uniform Security Officer

Job Summary

Ultra Protect Security Inc. is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-service-oriented Uniformed Security Guard to provide security services at a hotel property.

The successful candidate will have previous hotel or hospitality security experience and be comfortable working in a busy, guest-facing environment. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, conducting regular interior and exterior patrols, responding to incidents, assisting hotel guests and staff, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and respectful when dealing with challenging situations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the hotel and surrounding property.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of guest areas, common areas, entrances, parking areas, stairwells, hallways, and other designated areas.
• Monitor hotel entrances, exits, and other access points.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, disturbances, complaints, and requests for assistance.
• Assist hotel staff and guests with security-related concerns.
• Monitor and respond to suspicious activity, unauthorized access, trespassing, theft, property damage, and other security concerns.
• Respond to noise complaints and disturbances while using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, evacuations, and other incidents.
• Contact police, fire, ambulance, or other emergency services when required.
• Conduct welfare checks when requested by hotel management or when circumstances require.
• Monitor parking areas and hotel surroundings for suspicious activity or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident reports.
• Document significant incidents, observations, and actions taken.
• Communicate significant security concerns to hotel management and Ultra Protect supervisors.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding guests, hotel operations, incidents, and sensitive information.
• Follow hotel policies, site-specific post orders, company SOPs, and applicable legislation.
• Maintain a professional appearance and properly wear the required security uniform and equipment.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned by site management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Security Worker Licence required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Previous hotel or hospitality security experience required.
• Experience working directly with hotel guests, staff, and management is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or confrontational situations.
• Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.
• Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct regular patrols.
• Availability to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
