Door security nightclub

Tropical is a high-energy Latin restaurant and nightclub in Calgary. We are looking for an experienced Door Security professional to control entry and protect the safety of guests and staff during busy weekend nights.

This role requires a strong, confident presence and proven nightclub or venue security experience.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor all guest entry at the main door
• Check valid ID and enforce venue policies
• Maintain safety and order at entrance and lineup area
• Prevent entry of intoxicated or aggressive individuals
• Respond to incidents and support floor security when needed
• Coordinate with management and host team
• Protect guests, staff, and venue property

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years security experience (nightclub or bar preferred)
• Valid Alberta Security License (required)
• Strong conflict-management and de-escalation skills
• Professional appearance and authoritative presence
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work late nights in fast-paced environment
• English required (Spanish an asset)

Schedule

• Fridays & Saturdays
• 9:00 PM – 3:00AM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
