Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, along with familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
• Observe activity through surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and report any suspicious behavior
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies in accordance with established protocols
• Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management and law enforcement when necessary
• Enforce company policies regarding safety, security, and loss prevention measures
• Assist in conducting investigations related to theft, vandalism, or other security concerns
• Ensure all security equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or damages

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention preferred
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring systems
• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
• Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in security practices is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.98 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
