Nightclub, Bar & Lounge Security Staff

Odin Security Services is hiring professional, confident and reliable Nightclub, Bar & Lounge Security Staff for busy Calgary venues. This is an active, fast-paced role that calls for strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Requirements

• Valid AGLC ProServe certification
• Valid AGLC ProTect certification
• Alberta Security Licence is NOT required for this position
• Strong written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods
• Able to work late nights, weekends and holidays
• Reliable and punctual
• Previous bar, nightclub, hospitality or security experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Monitor patrons and maintain a safe, welcoming environment
• Monitor entrances, exits and restricted areas
• Check IDs and assist with admission procedures
• Monitor patron intoxication levels
• Deal professionally with disruptive, intoxicated or aggressive patrons
• De-escalate conflicts and prevent situations from escalating
• Respond to fights, disturbances and other incidents
• Assist venue staff and management when required
• Maintain communication with supervisors and venue management
• Follow all AGLC regulations and venue policies
• Complete incident reports when required
• Work as part of a professional team

What We’re Looking For

Working in a nightclub or bar environment is fast-paced and unpredictable. We want people who communicate effectively, use good judgment, and stay professional while handling intoxicated patrons, difficult situations and large crowds. Strong communication and conflict de-escalation skills are essential.

Schedule

Must be available for evening and late-night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
