Terminal Patrol Officer (TEMP Full-Time)

Commissionaires Southern Alberta is looking for dedicated YYC team members to join our Terminal Patrol team at Calgary International Airport. This critical role includes Emergency Response, integrity of the Primary Security Line and the sterility of the Air Terminal Building, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient operations.

The Role

As a Terminal Patrol Officer, you will conduct regular foot patrols throughout the Air Terminal Building, maintaining a vigilant presence and monitoring for suspicious behavior. You will respond to alarms, escort emergency responders, and assist the travelling public when required. Duties include supporting Primary Security Line monitoring, documenting patrol activities digitally.

This position requires flexibility, situational awareness, and professionalism in a dynamic 24/7/365 operational environment. Officers must work both day and night shifts on a regular basis.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates are reliable, alert, and physically capable. Required qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Alberta Security License
• Current Red RAIC
• Emergency or Standard First Aid certification
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of radio proficiency
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident / Landed Immigrant status

Working Environment

• Full-time 24/7/365 coverage
• Day and night shifts, regularly scheduled
• Foot patrols throughout the curb, and public side traffic areas
• Exposure to a fast-paced, highly regulated airport environment requiring situational awareness and calm decision-making skills
