Commissionaires Southern Alberta is currently seeking motivated and reliable YYC team members to fill a Full-Time Access Control Officer position at Calgary International Airport. This is a critical operational role supporting secure access to restricted ATB and Airside areas.

The Role
As an Access Control Officer, you will be positioned at Non Passenger Screening access points where attention to detail and consistency matters. You will verify credentials, monitor movement into restricted areas, and maintain a strong security presence throughout your shift. Working closely with the Operations Centre and partner agencies, you will respond to incidents, follow directions, and ensure all activity is accurately documented.

This role requires confidence, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Officers are expected to remain alert, proactive, and focused at all times.

What You Bring
This opportunity is well suited to YYC Commissionaires who take pride in doing the job right and understand the demands of airport operations. Candidates must have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• A valid Alberta Security License
• A current Red RAIC (must be maintained)
• Emergency or Standard First Aid certification
• Strong radio communication and reporting skills
• The ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours
• The ability to remain composed and professional during high-pressure situations

Working Environment
This position involves 12-hour shifts in both indoor and outdoor settings. Officers should expect prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting. YYC is a dynamic, high-tempo site where situational awareness and adaptability are essential.
