Waterton Lakes National Park is a small mountain village located approximately 3 hours south of Calgary, in southern Alberta. It is a seasonal tourism destination known for its lakefront setting, hiking trails, wildlife, and busy summer visitor season.

Waterton is a beautiful place to spend the summer, but it is also a small community with limited services compared to a city. This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable living in a remote seasonal environment, working as part of a close-knit team, and relocating for the full employment term.
Subsidized staff housing (studio apartment) is included with this position.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of resort property.
· Monitor access points and ensure doors, locks, stairwells, and alarms are secure.
· Complete nightly restaurant close-down checks: confirm all restaurants are closed and secured, and verify required cleaning/closing duties are completed before kitchen staff depart.
· Respond to guest and employee concerns professionally and promptly.
· Identify, document, and report irregularities, incidents, hazards, and policy violations.
· Complete clear written reports, logs, and incident documentation.
· Support emergency response procedures (e.g., fire prevention checks, safety issues).
· Liaise and cooperate with local law enforcement when required.
· Provide consistent, professional customer service while maintaining safety standards.
· Carry out loss prevention duties by identifying and reporting suspicious activity, monitoring high-risk areas, and helping prevent theft, property damage, and unauthorized access

· Strong judgment, reliability, and ability to work independently overnight.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
· Comfortable walking/standing for extended periods and working outdoors.
