THE ROLE

Barry Enterprises is selecting a limited number of individuals to join our Elite Protection Team as Doormen and Searchers operating within Calgary’s nightlife sector.

This is not a standard security position. This is front line presence.

You are the control point. You set the tone before a word is spoken. You maintain order without escalation and enforce standards without compromise.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Control access points and manage entry with precision and professionalism
Conduct thorough and respectful searches in accordance with policy
Maintain a strong, composed presence throughout the venue
Identify risks early and take proactive control measures
Enforce venue rules and safety standards without exception
De escalate conflict through communication, positioning, and awareness
Coordinate with team leads, management, and law enforcement when required
Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation

REQUIRED STANDARD

Valid Alberta Security Workers License
Minimum 1 year experience in nightlife, event, or high risk security
Strong situational awareness and decision making under pressure
Professional appearance and disciplined conduct at all times
Clear communication and proven conflict resolution ability
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
Fluent English written and verbal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PSC Training Academy certification or active enrollment
ProServe and ProTect certifications
Standard First Aid or OFA Level 1 or higher
