Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential threats are addressed promptly. Two shifts available Saturday and Sunday 6am – 2pm

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure the safety of all individuals on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or assist in investigations.
• Document all security-related incidents accurately in reports for future reference.

Skills

• Possession of a valid security certificate is preferred.
• Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR practices; certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with law enforcement protocols and procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to operate CCTV systems efficiently for monitoring purposes.
• Military experience is a plus but not required; discipline and attention to detail are essential attributes.
