Unarmed Security Guard

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure physical security measures are in place.
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and identify potential security threats.
• Manage access control systems by verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and employees.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations following established procedures, including performing first aid or CPR if necessary.
• Assist law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents by providing relevant information and support.
• Perform background checks on visitors or vendors when required to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, and access control systems.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for safety or operational needs.
• Strong skills in incident report writing, conflict de-escalation, and conflict management.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties and handle physical security tasks efficiently.

Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour
