Armed Security Guard

Overview

Levinson Secure is seeking an experienced and highly professional Armed Security Officer to join our team.

We are specifically looking for candidates with a law enforcement or military background, including current or retired police officers or former military personnel. Candidates must have prior professional security, law enforcement, or military experience and be comfortable working in environments that require a high level of awareness, professionalism, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and maintain a visible security presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security risks.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and disturbances.
• Use professional communication and de-escalation techniques when dealing with conflicts.
• Contact law enforcement, emergency services, or company management when necessary.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Follow all site post orders, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• Current or former law enforcement experience, or prior military experience.
• Previous security or related professional experience.
• Valid California Guard Card.
• Valid California Firearms Permit.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Required permits/certifications for carrying a baton and handcuffs, as applicable.
• Experience working in an armed security environment.
• Strong communication and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
• Strong observation and report-writing skills.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance.

Applicants must be able to provide copies of all required licenses, permits, and certifications before assignment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour
