Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver State License in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations, and provide exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, vehicle yards, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, while coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
