Reports To: Lead Officer / Field Supervisor
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Primary shifts are weekends
Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Summary:

CTX Patrol Service LLC is seeking a reliable and professional Community-Based Roving Patrol Officer to join our team. This position is responsible for patrolling client properties using a fully equipped and branded CTX Patrol vehicle. The officer’s primary role is to provide visible deterrence, conduct proactive property inspections, and respond to security concerns in real time.

This is a Nighttime weekend position, ideal for those looking for a consistent schedule with the flexibility to pick up additional hours during the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Patrols:

Conduct active and visible patrols throughout designated properties using a CTX Patrol vehicle.

• Maintain a patrol speed of 5–10 mph
• Use light bar, hazard lights, and go-light for visibility
• Drive with windows and radio down to stay alert to surroundings
• Remain vigilant and eliminate distractions (no personal phone use during patrols)
• Suspicious Activity Monitoring:

Observe and document potential threats, such as:

• Unauthorized or suspicious vehicles
• Signs of break-ins or vandalism
• Trespassers or loiterers
• Broken or inadequate lighting
• Trash or debris out of place
• Any environmental factors that pose a security risk
• Security Checks:
• Ensure all exterior doors are secured after business hours
• Conduct thorough lighting and perimeter checks
• Provide detailed lighting, trash, and security assessments to management
• Incident Reporting:
• Complete thorough and accurate reports for each patrol shift
• Document findings clearly for client assurance
• Adhere to CTX Operations Manual guidelines for report writing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and remain alert for long periods
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent observational ability
• Ability to complete training modules within the first month of employment
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and reliability
• Ability to work independently and follow post orders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in private security or loss prevention
• Familiarity with property patrols and mobile reporting systems
