Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol designated areas regularly to deter unauthorized access and ensure physical security.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct thorough background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to uphold security standards.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical incidents.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy.
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity across the premises continuously.
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for security equipment or during emergency situations.
• De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques while maintaining professionalism and compliance with security regulations.
• Utilize tools like Tasers, firearms (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR or first aid when required to assist injured individuals or save lives.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Conduct routine patrols on foot or vehicle to maintain high visibility and deter potential threats or unlawful activities.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
• Training in surveillance techniques, incident report writing, conflict de-escalation, and emergency response procedures is preferred.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and firearm handling enhances candidacy.
• Background in military service or related fields provides valuable skills applicable to this role.
• Ability to perform background checks accurately and efficiently as part of security screening processes.
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV monitoring software, and compliance with security regulations is essential.
• Strong customer service skills combined with excellent communication abilities ensure positive interactions with staff and visitors alike.
