Armed Security Officer

Armed Security Guard — Synagogue

GSIS is seeking professional, experienced Armed Security Guards with prior law enforcement experience to help protect staff, and visitors and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a visible security presence during services, events, and synagogue activities
• Monitoring entrances, exits, and surrounding areas
• Identifying and reporting potential security concerns
• Assisting with access control and emergency preparedness
• Responding calmly and professionally to security incidents
• Coordinating with synagogue leadership and law enforcement when necessary

Requirements:

• Prior law enforcement experience is required
• Current valid NYS armed-security licenses required
• Strong situational awareness and sound judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Commitment to maintaining a respectful and welcoming environment for all members and guests

Part-time opportunities; services, events, weekends, and holidays may be required. Uniforms provided. Weekly pay.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
