Responsibilities

• Control access to the facility using verifying identities, and maintaining logs of all entrants and exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeters, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for future review.
• Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and law enforcement collaboration when necessary to manage disputes or disturbances effectively.

Skills

• Knowledge of physical security measures including manual handling, heavy lifting, and fire safety protocols.
• Ability to perform first aid procedures such as CPR and operate AED devices confidently.
• Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and performing background checks in compliance with regulations.
• Skilled in incident report writing with clear documentation of events and actions taken.
• Proficient in Taser use, firearm handling (where permitted), and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities for positive interactions with staff and visitors.
