Position Overview

The Unarmed Security Officer serves as the professional face of security at assigned office building locations throughout the DFW metroplex. This role is the first point of contact for employees and visitors — responsible for access control, badge verification, CCTV monitoring, and ensuring a secure, welcoming environment at all times. The ideal candidate brings a customer-first attitude, strong situational awareness, and the professionalism to remain calm and effective under pressure. This is not just a security role — it is a customer service role with security responsibilities.

As a Flex Officer, you’ll support multiple client sites across the Metroplex, filling open shifts, covering call-offs, and supporting special assignments. This is an excellent fit for officers who want variable hours, exposure to different site types, and a pathway to full-time or preferred-post placement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide static guard coverage at assigned posts (lobbies, entrances, control desks)
• Greet employees, visitors, and vendors professionally; serve as the first point of contact
• Control access — verify badges and credentials, manage visitor sign-in, and issue visitor passes
• Monitor CCTV systems and report unusual or suspicious activity
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols as directed by post orders
• Enforce site policies and post orders with tact and consistency
• De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally; summon appropriate support when needed
• Write clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and service requests according to site procedures
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Active Texas Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officer license (or ability to obtain training available through our affiliated training academy, P1 Elite Training Solutions)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work at multiple sites across the DFW Metroplex
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an unarmed security officer, front desk associate, concierge, or in a customer-facing role.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV platforms, or guard management software.
• Experience working in the Fort Worth areas.
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding security and safety.
• First Aid/CPR certification (a plus).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
