POSITION SUMMARY:
The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and property assets during overnight hours. This role conducts regular patrols, monitors surveillance systems, responds to incidents, and ensures all security procedures are followed.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

• Conduct routine patrols of the property including guest floors, public areas, parking areas, and building perimeters.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems for unusual activity.
• Ensure all doors, entrances, and restricted areas are secure.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or guest concerns.
• Investigate disturbances or suspicious activity and take appropriate action.
• Notify management and emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the property.
• Escort guests or staff when necessary to ensure safety.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual events in security logs.
• Prepare detailed incident reports when required.
• Communicate security updates to management and incoming shifts.
• Respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other safety incidents.
• Assist with emergency evacuations if required.
• Ensure safety equipment and emergency exits remain accessible.
• Follow all Coury Hospitality security procedures and policies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and property guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and security matters.

Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. Furthermore, tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous security, law enforcement, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during overnight patrols.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or security incidents.
