Hospital Security Guard (Part-Time)

Safety Facility Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Officer to support operations at a medical clinic in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service.

Site Location: New York, NY 10025

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 12:30pm-8:00pm

Requirements:

• Must have an active Security Guard License
• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.

Job Description:

• Customer Service & Front Desk Support:
• Greet all patients and visitors upon entry.
• Assist patients with registration at the KIOSK (iPad) if needed.
• Accompany visitors or vendors throughout the facility when necessary.
• Perform visual rounds every 30 minutes throughout the facility.
• Report any unusual findings or incidents to the Practice Administrator.
• Maintain open communication with the Practice Administrator at all times.
• Communicate clearly with staff as needed.
• Inform the appropriate personnel when leaving the facility for lunch.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Direct patients to the Reception Desk if their questions cannot be answered.
• Have all visitors and vendors sign in using the Logbook.

Who You Are:

• Adaptable and capable of performing effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical setting.Comfortable working in a healthcare environment and interacting professionally with patients, visitors, and medical staff.
• Able to remain standing and actively patrol the facility for extended periods, including shifts of up to 8 hours.
• Possesses a professional, confident demeanor and a strong commitment to customer service.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with diverse populations.
• Works collaboratively with clinic personnel, management, maintenance staff, and other on-site team members to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Self-motivated and capable of performing duties independently while exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining an outstanding attendance record and consistent professional performance.
