Job Overview
Top Gun Security & Investigations is seeking highly qualified "ARMED" security officers for assignments throughout Galveston, Harris, Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties. Candidates must have the following:
Active Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Level 3 license
Reliable transportation
Approved firearm and related security officer equipment
Candidates will undergo a through interview, background and drug screening process prior to hiring.

Duties

• Monitor areas using CCTV surveillance systems
• Perform patrol operations on foot or by vehicle
• Control access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and managing entry logs for employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors.
• Conduct thorough inspections of personnel, packages, and premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry.
• Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records to document all activities accurately.
• Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras effectively to monitor activity across multiple locations.
• Assist in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations with professionalism and tact.
• Support emergency preparedness drills and ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields demonstrating strong situational awareness.
• Knowledge of Texas laws as they pertain to Texas Security Officers
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention methods.
• Skilled in the use of firearms, defensive tactics, and intermediate weapons
• Strong communications skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with the public during non emergency and emergency situations

Conditions of Employment

• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods (excess of 10hrs)
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have reliable means of communication (employer utilizes this method for employees to clock in & out)
• Must be able to remain on duty during critical situations
• Must has a serviceable handgun (final determination will be that of the employer)
• Must have all required equipment set forth by employer
• Must have up to date ballistic vest when required (some assignments this is MANDATORY)
• Must participate in all employer mandated training
• Must maintain uniforms in a clean and serviceable manner
• Must ensure all state issued license are current and renewed at least 30days prior to expiration

Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
