On-Call Tactical Security Guard

iGuard360° was established as a comprehensive security firm to meet the demands of clients seeking a dependable and forward-thinking security provider, offering enduring security solutions for both condominiums and retail store locations.

We are seeking Tactical Security Guards to work at our retail and contruction sites around Ottawa and Kingston. The guard will be responsible for safeguarding the property, company assets, employees, and customers while always acting in the best interests of the company. This role emphasizes ensuring safety and security while serving as a prominent deterrent to undesirable behavior and individuals.

What you will do:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers by way of customer service and physical presence.
• Maintain positive, professional working relationships with clients and customers.
• Identify and respond to suspicious activity in a professional manner.
• Prevent theft of client’s products and merchandise within the store by maintaining surveillance of the site and its high-risk areas.
• Provide access control as required.
• Conduct regular foot patrols as required.
• Enforce the Trespass to Property Act, Criminal Code of Canada, and other relevant legislation as it pertains to the property.
• Respond to alarms, patrolling the site and securing premises as required by site post orders.
• Complete detailed and comprehensive incident reports through our online reporting systems.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment.

Education / Experience:

• 3 years or more of Tactical Security experience is an asset
• Additional industry-related training (e.g., Tactical Communication, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) is an asset, but not required
• Completion of or enrollment in a Police Foundations, Law & Security Administration, or other relevant program is an asset, but not required

Special Certifications needed:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid CPR Certificate Level C

Pay: $17.70-$18.00 per hour
