Responsibilities

• Monitor premises using surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents with appropriate action
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent loss or damage
• Assist in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations professionally
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary to assist injured individuals
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies
• Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members
• Support loss prevention initiatives by identifying potential theft or vandalism
• Uphold company policies and procedures related to security operations

Qualifications

• NYS Security License
• 8 & 16 Hr. Annual Certificates
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training can be provided if necessary
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and security technology
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security protocols
• Ability to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies or incidents
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills suitable for diverse audiences
