Location: North Austin, TX
Starting Pay: $20.00/hour
Shifts Available: Full-Time & Part-Time (Weekends are required)

Position Overview

Professional Security Consultants (PSC) is seeking motivated, customer-focused Security Officers for a high-profile location in North Austin. This role is ideal for individuals who are a “people person”—friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering superior customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a visible, professional, and welcoming presence
• Monitor for irregularities such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergency situations
• Respond promptly to incidents and contact emergency services (police, fire, EMS) when necessary
• Identify and address unauthorized individuals or suspicious activity; take appropriate action, including notifying law enforcement or detaining individuals when required
• Conduct routine patrols and remain alert at all times
• Prepare clear, accurate, and timely incident and activity reports
• Operate security systems including CCTV, radios, and access control systems
• Provide specialized security support in complex operational environments as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods
• Ability to work effectively in both daytime and nighttime conditions
• Capacity to learn and apply policies, procedures, and site-specific protocols
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to accurately document incidents and maintain records
• Willingness to learn CPR and First Aid (training provided if needed)
• Familiarity with or ability to learn site geography quickly

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Texas Security Officer license
• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and customer service driven
• Must embody PSC’s core values and represent the company with integrity and professionalism

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
