Armed Security Officer

Join our dynamic security team as an Armed Security Officer, where your vigilance and expertise will be vital in safeguarding property, assets, and personnel. As an integral part of our security operations, you will be empowered to respond swiftly and confidently to various situations, ensuring safety and peace of mind for everyone on site. Friday and Saturday overnights are REQUIRED.

Duties

• Control access points by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the facility
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies with appropriate actions, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary
• Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts with professionalism and tact
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to facilitate swift resolution
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records for accountability and future reference

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a focus on security operations
• Valid armed security license or certification as required by local regulations – OPOTA CERTIFIED
• Certified in first aid and CPR with the ability to provide emergency medical assistance if needed but not required
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
• Friday and Saturday overnights are REQUIRED.
