Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct screening activities, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or prohibited items in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with professionalism, document observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns and helping to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
