Security Officer

About the Role:

We are currently hiring professional and reliable Event Security Guards to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who can maintain a strong security presence while providing excellent customer service at events. Guards will be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and property during various events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points at event venues.
• Perform regular patrols to ensure safety and prevent disturbances.
• Assist with crowd control and manage large gatherings professionally.
• Respond promptly to incidents, conflicts, or emergencies.
• Provide directions and assistance to guests when required.
• Enforce event rules, policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors.
• Prepare basic incident reports when necessary.

Requirements:

• Valid BC Security Worker License.
• Previous security or customer service experience is an asset (not mandatory).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and holidays required).
• Reliable transportation is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$18.00 per hour

Experience:

• Security Officer: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• AST (Advanced Security Training) License (preferred)
