Security Flex Officer (Downtown FW, North FW)

Position Overview

The Security Flex Officer (also known as a Multi‑Site Officer) is a highly trained, dependable professional who provides security coverage across multiple client sites within a designated region. Flex Officers represent the highest standard of performance at Securitas and are relied upon to support operations during staffing shortages, special events, and new account start‑ups.

This position is ideal for officers who are adaptable, motivated, and interested in professional growth. Flex Officers gain exposure to high‑profile and diverse security posts and are evaluated for leadership potential and advancement opportunities, including supervisory and management roles.

While the goal is to offer 40 hours or more per week, schedules may vary based on business needs and shift acceptance. Employment is at‑will and subject to all Securitas policies and procedures.

Flex Officer Program Objectives

• Staff new accounts until permanent officers are assigned
• Provide coverage for short‑term special events
• Fill shifts for officers who are on vacation, sick, suspended, or no‑call/no‑show

Key Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs at multiple client locations during shortages
• Provide coverage on short notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Assist with new account start‑ups, including:
• Working assigned posts
• Assisting with post orders and training checklists
• Training newly assigned permanent Security Officers
• Maintain a professional presence and deliver consistent, high‑quality security services
• Communicate regularly with management during assigned shifts
• Contact the designated manager at least once per shift to receive assignments and updates

Schedule & Availability Expectations

• Willingness to work all three shifts (days, swings, and graves)
• Availability to work up to six (6) days per week, depending on business needs
• Two days off per week will be provided when operationally feasible
• Expected to accept assignment requests unless there is an extenuating circumstance
• Repeated refusal of assignments may result in reduced hours
• Ability to respond to assignment requests within four (4) hours’ notice
• Failure to properly notify management may result in policy violations or reduced hours

Note: Flex Officers are not considered on‑call employees for pay purposes and are not compensated for non‑worked time. During non‑work hours, officers may conduct personal activities without restriction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to report to multiple locations in a timely manner
• Reliable phone number and ability to answer during established shift windows
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Successful completion of the Securitas Safe Driving Course (required prior to Flex assignment)
• Strong professionalism, reliability, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new sites, post orders, and client environments
• Prior security experience preferred (site‑specific requirements may apply)

Communication Expectations

• Maintain regular communication with management while on duty
• Respond to calls when possible (within 20 minutes preferred but not required)
• Notify supervision promptly if unable to accept an assignment within the four‑hour notice window

Pay & Compensation

• Pay Rate: $17 per hour
• Overtime: Paid in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws
• Pay rates may be adjusted at the discretion of Securitas USA with reasonable notice
