Guard Shack Security Officer – Saturday and Sunday 7am to 7pm – Wylie, TX – ($17/hour)

Shift Hours – Saturday and Sunday 7am to 7pm with a pay rate of $17/hour.

Hiring immediately. Must not have a schedule that would conflict with the ability to cover these shifts.

Join our dedicated security team as a Guard Shack Security Officer, working on weekends from early morning to evening.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the safety and security of our facilities while maintaining a vigilant presence at the security checkpoint. Your proactive approach will help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors, contributing to the smooth operation of our site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access points at the security shack, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct routine surveillance using CCTV systems to oversee facility premises and identify any suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs of all entries, exits, incidents, and patrols to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct conflict management when necessary to de-escalate tense situations.
• Perform regular visual inspections of the perimeter, fences, and security equipment to ensure operational integrity.
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting findings accordingly.

Requirements

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and familiarity with loss prevention techniques.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and conflict management are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts spanning from early morning to evening hours on weekends.
• Strong communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors.
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while enforcing safety policies.
